My fiance has 3 kids from a prior marriage, 2 of them still minors. The kids were taken away from us over the summer because my fiance cancelled their trip (that was scheduled on his parenting time) to their grandma’s. The kids were planning to go to grandma’s and not come back because their grandma is rich and they have friends down there. Now, Christmas is coming, and 1 of the kids have accepted our apologies while the other is calling us stupid etc. The mother is constantly reminding the kids of how her relationship with their father was (it wasn’t pretty, but he never hit, abused in any way his children, she couldn’t keep her legs or mouth shut). She also tells them that he doesn’t love them because he’s barely there to see them… he lives in another state and working 80 hours a week to pay their child support, his rent, car payment, taxes whatever else you can think of. My fiance and ex always argue, pretty ugly convers. what will the friend of the court do in this case?

Ex and I shared custody amicably for 8 years in washington with a legal parenting plan. He decided to move to california for a lifestyle change. Our parenting plan says he has the boys 3 nights a week. He does not want to change the parenting plan to reflect the new situation. Is this technically contempt of court?

This man gave his ex wife, full custody of their child. And has scheduled supervised visitations. This man, does not even come to visitation to see his child. He has missed 62 visitations just since Jan. 2006. Is there a way to revoke his visitation rights? If he would ever take her back for shared parenting, could he get it?
This man has severe alcohol and drug abuse issues, but is there a prove it? My friend is worried sick about this. She is trying to be the best possible mother there is, going back to college to get a nursing degree, and spend as much possible time with her child. Her home, is the most stable environment for the child. Her ex husband called last tuesday wanting to sign away his rights. Is there a way to do that if she is not getting remarried?

If you file a proposed parenting plan and the other parent doesn’t respond, what do you do to move forward?

Me son’s father and I are no longer together. We have a temporary parenting plan now, but it was just thrown together and needs to be revised. I filed a proposed parenting plan and had it certified mailed to the father but he refused to get it. It has been almost three months now and he has made no effort to even find out what I have filed (he is a very difficult person). What do I do now? Is something I can file to move on with out him?

Adams county to be exact. Like I said ex step-parent who was awarded parenting time with the child. Please advise!!
This is my child whom both her biological father & I agree the ex step parent should NOT have any visitation or rights to her whatsoever. Both of us biological parents, (I have always had custody & full financial responsibilty) have no history of drugs, alcohol or any sort of abuse nor neglect so WTF are the courts thinking???
