Frank

Just try and talk to her. explain that he has to get a little dirt on him, and that doctors will even say that some dirt never hurt any child. As for the sandbox; he is too young to play in sand. Sand is dangerous because if the child puts it in his mouth, he can choke to death on it. The swing set is too much for a one year old also.

He should be playing with baby toys for now; blocks, pull toys that make noise, maybe some of momma's pans or plastic dishes.

Tracy

Tell her you are not deserving to be a mother treating the boy like that.
everything middle is better than nothing, he should learn but in time. his time has to play and learn and got dirty and hardly understand to speak or even count that 15 stuff.

first be yourself Lady and don't you ever Look what is in others hands ppl.

be yourself and feel your son. he will be better than to follow you or one of his neighbours.

Regards,
a Father

Debra

Unfortunally, this is her culture or morals and values so to speak, this is what she finds normal for her, and what you find normal for you is ok too, neither one of you is wrong, and he wont hate her when he grows up, I promise. There are alot of parents out there that feel they dont want there children to get dirty, and its actually great for the child to become bilingual now at his age, he will learn both languages faster than an adult would, this should be encouraged.
